FEES

We are a Private Practice and fees are charged unless eligibility for bulk billing is provided.

DO YOU BULK BILL?

Bulk billing is only available to children under 16 years of age, Pensioners, Veterans’ Affairs card holders and Health Care Card holders.

We do not bulk bill for the Commonwealth Seniors Health Care Card.

Current evidence of eligibility is required at the time of consultation. Please make sure your concession details are recorded with our reception team. For other patients, full payment is expected according to our fee structure.

Bulk billing is only available at the doctor’s discretion.

WHERE CAN I FIND YOUR FEES?

Our fees are listed on this website, and on the "Our Fees" posters in our waiting room.

WHAT ARE YOUR FEES?

Short consultation (<6mins) = $45 Medicare refund $18.95

Standard consultation (6-20mins) = $80 Medicare refund of $41.40

WHAT PAYMENT METHODS ARE AVAILABLE?

Fees are payable at the time of consultation by  EFTPOS, Visa or Mastercard. For your convenience, Medicare claims can be electronically transmitted to Medicare and directly deposited into your bank account if you’ve previously registered your bank details with Medicare. We do not accept American Express.

WHAT IF MY INJURY/ILLNESS IS WORKCOVER or INSURANCE RELATED?

Medicare and Bulk-billing does not apply for work related or insurance matters.

If your injury or illness is related to your work or an accident or injury insurance claim, please advise reception when booking your appointment.

Your Employer Insurance and/or Insurance information will be required. Until you have a claim number, all appointments will need to be paid for at the time of appointment.

A fee of $102.00 applies per standard consultation for work related injuries/illnesses. The initial Certificate of Capacity incurs a fee of $51.00 + GST.

Our GPs charge standard SIRA (State Insurance Regulatory Authority) Workers Compensation rates. These rates are available from the SIRA online list of fees for General Practitioners. Fees relating to insurance work can be provided on request

HOW DO I PAY FOR PHONE APPOINTMENTS?

Telehealth (phone) appointments are available at the discretion of the GP. These may be bulk-billed for eligible Medicare card holders who have been seen in person by the practice in the preceding 12 months, or have a positive covid diagnosis.

A fee will be charged where a patient has not been seen within the last 12 months. This fee must be paid by phone by credit card following the consultation, and is not eligible for any Medicare rebate.

*Bulk-billed phone appointments are available only for eligible patients (as set by the Australian Government's response to Covid-19). Anyone who is Covid positive, or has Covid-19 symptoms will be triaged by phone.

A current Medicare card is required for a bulk-billed phone appointment.

Note: Bulk billed phone consultations will receive an SMS text or Hotdoc notification to fulfill Medicare consent requirements.

WHAT EVIDENCE OF PAYMENT WILL I RECEIVE?

When you pay for your appointment, a tax invoice will be provided showing the amount, your payment  method, the GP you have paid and the date paid. Where appropriate, it will also detail the expected Medicare rebate amount. This paperwork is helpful if you do not receive your rebate from Medicare and need to contact Medicare for follow up or to submit a request for rebate payment.

WILL I BE CHARGED FOR CANCELLING AN APPOINTMENT?

In general, we do not charge a cancellation fee.

Please call our reception team as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. If you regularly forget and need a reminder, our team can assist with either an automatic reminder, or a personal call.

In cases where someone fails to attend on a regular basis, despite our reminders and assistance to support them, continued no-shows will result in a fee to be charged.

Appointments can be cancelled by auto-reply to reminder messages or by using the HotDoc app.
