COVID-19 VACCINATION:

Our practice provides Covid-19 Vaccinations. Please phone to book a vaccination appointment. We provide Pfizer vaccinations for children and adults. 

The Covid-19 Vaccination consent forms are required for all vaccination appointments.

Please bring this completed form with you to your vaccination clinic appointment.

GENERAL MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS

As general practitioners, we’re here to provide you with continuing, comprehensive and coordinated health care. We are your first point of contact for any health concern. 

 

PHONE & TELEHEALTH APPOINTMENTS

We are able to offer telehealth (phone) appointments to patients if an in-person consultation is not appropriate. This service is available through until March 2021 (as set by the Australian Government's response to Covid-19). We prefer to see first-time patients in person, rather than telehealth. Please inquire about our telehealth options if you have Covid symptoms or are housebound.

PAEDIATRICS & CHILDREN’S HEALTH

Including routine health checks, childhood immunisations and management of acute or chronic childhood illnesses. We can offer priority appointments to children with acute illnesses such as fevers and rashes.

 

WOMEN’S HEALTH

Including pap smears, family planning, antenatal shared care, postnatal care and menopause advice.

 

MEN’S HEALTH

Routine health checks for men of all ages are encouraged. Hypertension, cholesterol, mental health and sexual health advice and treatment is also available.

 

AGED CARE

Including healthy-lifestyle checks such as blood pressure and cholesterol, and preventative care including skin checks. We recommend an annual health check for all patients aged 75 and over. This provides a structured way of identifying issues and conditions that are potentially preventable or may benefit from interventions in order to improve overall quality of life.

We can also assist with palliative care.

We attend all nursing homes in the Orange area to ensure continuance of care to all our loyal patients. This includes:

IMMUNISATIONS & VACCINATIONS

We can assist with all childhood immunisations, adult immunisations and annual flu vaccines. Please ask reception to see if you’re eligible for free immunisations. We also provide advice and vaccination services to suit your travel plans. Please check your requirements with us eight weeks before your departure.

FLU VACCINATION

Annual flu vaccination is recommend for most of the community. We provide National Immunisation Program (NIP) free vaccinations to eligible patients. In 2022 the NIP free flu vaccination eligibility includes: 

- all people aged 6 months to 5 years

- all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 6 months and older

- pregnant women

- all people aged 65 years and over

- people aged 6 months and over who have a medical condition which increases the risk of influenza complications (your GP will assess this according to the list of conditions provided by NSW Health and the Federal Government).

*Normal consultation fees apply for all GP appointments. Flu vaccination is also dependent on stock supply. Help us plan by advising at the time of booking that a flu vacc is also needed.

Private flu vaccinations are SOLD OUT for 2022. Talk to your GP about your flu vaccination options. (While the NSW Government provided free flu vax from 1 June - 17 July, our private stock is now exhausted. Please see your GP about other options for flu vaccination if ineligible for federal funded flu vaccination).

HEALTH & MEDICAL ASSESSMENTS

We recommend 45+-year-old and 75-year-old health checks. We also conduct medical examinations for special purposes, such as pre-employment, driving medicals, insurance, workers compensation and more. Please mention what you need when booking your appointment so we can allocate sufficient time.

 

SKIN CHECKS & TREATMENTS

The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners recommends a formal skin check every 12 months. Our doctors can perform skin checks and minor surgical procedures. Please mention you would like a skin check when booking your appointment so we can allocate sufficient time.

 

MINOR PROCEDURES

A well-equipped treatment room is available for wound treatments and minor surgical procedures under local anesthetic. This includes stitches, cryotherapy of warts and sunspots, insertion and removal of Implanon contraceptives and removal of some skin lesions, cyst and moles.

WOUND CARE

We provide comprehensive wound management for a wide variety of wounds. Talk to our nurses.

 

MENTAL HEALTH & COUNSELLING

Our doctors are here to discuss and help you with all your mental health concerns and can assist with diagnosis, treatment and referrals. 

 

ADDICTION ADVICE & COUNSELLING

Including quit smoking plans, drug and alcohol advice, management and counselling.

 

CHRONIC DISEASE MANAGEMENT

We offer comprehensive and coordinated chronic disease management, with an aim to prevent or delay progression and increase overall quality of life.

 

INJURIES & SPORTS MEDICINE

We can assist with musculoskeletal issues including diagnosis and rehabilitation. This includes sports medicine, diet, exercise and training advice.

 

DIABETES MANAGEMENT

Diabetes care plans including comprehensive assessment of diabetes severity and control, medication use, complications and management strategies.
